Facial Reflexology and Self Care in 2021
Well, it has been a while since I have been in touch and I would just like to assure you all that despite not giving reflexology or Indian Head Massage treatments due to the Covid pandemic, I am still here for you if you would like some advice or simply just a chat!
Despite the strangeness of the times, I hope you had a good Christmas and would like to wish you all a very healthy and happy 2021.
Hopefully, there is some light at the end of the tunnel, but this has been and continues to be, a very stressful and anxious time for many people.
That is why self-care is so important, especially during the Winter months.
Getting enough sleep, fresh fruit, vegetables and clean food, drinking less alcohol and caffeine, exercise and losing weight – it all sounds like a list of New Year’s resolutions! These are all difficult enough to keep up to in normal times but now, we are living in anormal times and our emotional and mental health is dominating us more than we might normally notice
As I have gone with my gut instinct and have not been practising reflexology for such a long time, I have been filling in my time learning new things for when I re-open.
Facial reflexology is one of those new skills and this gives another dimension to helping people relax and feel less stressed. It is also a great add-on to an Indian Head Massage, or you might decide to try it instead of foot or hand reflexology. I have been learning the Ziggie Bergman Facial Reflexology techniques. This lady has some high-profile clients both in the celebrity world and even counts some our own royalty as her clients!
Facial Reflexology uses pressure points on the face and by using these points, we can help to stimulate the body to self-heal and improve the circulation. This helps to move toxins in the face and gives a more radiant complexion and relaxes the facial muscles. We hold a lot of stress and tension in the face – just imagine how many times we frown, smile, all the facial expressions we use to show how we feel without using words to express ourselves! These muscles need to relax! By relaxing the facial muscles, it is amazing how we feel better in ourselves too.
And to help you, here are some useful tips to help you with your own self-care.
Here are some charts to help you practice some facial reflexology on yourself to help with some very common problems which many of us are experiencing now.
These top tips from Ziggie help if you have any of the following difficulties.
Headaches, insomnia, sinus issues and menopausal hot flushes!
Please feel free to try some or all these self -help ways. It is especially good if you practice them during your morning shower or skin-care routine.
